A symbol of modernist architecture, the Brasília Palace was designed by Oscar Niemeyer and graced with two major works by artist Athos Bulcão. The hotel is located on the shores of Lake Paranoá and near the Alvorada Palace. It offers a variety of rooms. Apartments range from 30 to 60 square meters, with balconies and a double bed or two single beds. A highlight is the Oscar Restaurant, located near the pool and a reference in Brasília cuisine, having been voted the city's best hotel restaurant for the fifth time by Encontro Gastrô Brasília magazine. The Brasília Palace is also popular for events, including weddings.
The hotel's decor is sublime in its simplicity. The design dispensed with over-the-top ornaments and furnishings. However, color was essential to complement the architectural design. Niemeyer then invited artist Athos Bulcão to create panels that would reflect the lines and transparencies of the Brasília Palace. Athos brought to life two icons of Brasília: the tile panel covering one of the hotel's exterior walls and a fresco (one of the only ones he created) that completes the Athos Bulcão event hall. These details integrate art and architecture, highlighting the originality of the Brasília Palace.

The oval-shaped pool is one of the legends of the Brasília Palace's history. It's said that days before Easter Sunday, the year the hotel was built, the architect drew a picture on the floor, showed it to the engineers, and said, "Here it is, you can build it."
